I wasn't originally going to upload this piece.

The reason this piece is in my "Unfinished" gallery isn't because it's unfinished...it is. It's pretty much because I KNOW I messed up a lot of it and I need some serious CC.

I already know I messed up the facial proportions and the beak (GAH! the beak!). What I'd like, however, is some good CC on how to get that glazed, terrified, panicked, weeping expression in the eyes. The idea is Flamecrest (alternate name for Tyrrlin) has just lost her life-mate in a sudden, unexpected manner. (That's not the whole story, but it'll do for now)

How do you get that look to reflect in the expression of a character?
