And here is a pic taken by EccentricFurry of the back of my fursuit so you can see the colorful wings. Turkey feathers are rather difficult to color, I must admit.

Here is the finished product...at least for Anthrocon 2008. My suit is entirely hand-made by me and took nearly three years (on and off) to finish. Thanks for Ahkil for the picture.

Military Raptors - Army Eagle #1 by Tyrrlin

This piece made its debut at Anthrocon 2008. I came up with the idea of various birds of prey representing the different branches of the Armed Forces, and here is the first of the series... if it ever becomes a series. :-P Drawing the new ACU pattern is mind-boggling, I tell ya!

Clarinet Cat #1 by Tyrrlin

Part of my "Peter and the Wolf" series, this is my new sculpture concept that combines art with my new career training in Instrument Repair. I took a clarinet and resculpted it into a cat using only clarinet pieces and woodwind/instrument adhesives and techniques. Clarinet Cat made a splash at his debut during AnthroCon 2008 and won Honorable Mention in the "Director's Choice" category.

When I did my Transformers art meme over on my DA account (for Transformer stuff, don'tcha know?), I included a quick pic of my sister corax_onyx as a raven gryphon. She asked me to draw her a pic of her gryphonic self, so I did. Corax_Onyx gryphon relaxes with her favorite book.

This is a trade piece for Lanakila, who very kindly went to a Transformers convention on my behalf to meet with Mr. Michael Bell. Lana went above and beyond for me, and all he asked for is some art. :-) So, I tried my best. Tyrrlin visits Lanakila at Mountsberg and gets to meet Takenya the red-tail hawk.

I wasn't originally going to upload this piece. The reason this piece is in my "Unfinished" gallery isn't because it's unfinished...it is. It's pretty much because I KNOW I messed up a lot of it and I need some serious CC. I already know I messed up the facial proportions and the beak (GAH! the beak!). What I'd like, however, is some good CC on how to get that glazed, terrified, panicked, weeping expression in the eyes. The idea is Flamecrest (alternate name for Tyrrlin) has just lost her life-mate in a sudden, unexpected manner. (That's not the whole story, but it'll do for now) How do you get that look to reflect in the expression of a character?

Here is the requested Part II to my piece "On crutches." Panzier wanted this piece to be his tiger character with a bulging belly, picking his teeth with the remnants of the crutches. Relatively quick piece - 2+ hours. So evil, but kinda funny too!

I recently had foot surgery. Panzier came down to help me out this week and this is what I came up with while propping my foot up on the couch. Tyrrlin, officially in the "sick, weak or injured" category. Panzier wants a part II with the tiger all full, picking his teeth with one of the crutches. "What gryphon?"
